Gyroscope Level 4: let the Frog Games continue!
Challenge II
Instructions for the challenges
Reminder: the rules of the Frog Game
About Gyroscope & what to do next
The Frog Games move into the next round! As a reminder, the goal of the Frog Games is to ensure Sybil resistance. Sybil resistance prevents a single person from creating multiple digital representations by, for example, using bots.To get closer to reaching Sybil resistance, Challenge II has been launched, with one more challenge following shortly. For further information on the Rules of the Frog Game read below.
Challenge II is for verified Sybil.org addresses. Almost exactly one year ago Uniswap launched Sybil.org. Sybil.org ‘maps on-chain addresses to digital identities’. As such, it is one of the earlier attempts to link social data (in this case Twitter profiles) with Ethereum addresses to have a tighter connection between addresses and social networks.
Arguably, the people who have already gotten verified for Sybil.org in the past are deeply involved in the DeFi ecosystem, interested in governance experimentation and generally unlikely to be bots.
As such, every address that has signed up to Sybil.org before 05.12.2021 (list available here) can collect further ‘Sybil points’.
If you are think you may be eligible, track your progress in the Testnet UI, connect your wallet at MyCrypto.com (avoid Coinbase Wallet, which seems to be buggy) and:
Paste the Kovan address you used in the testnet in the message field
Use the address that is Sybil.org-verified to sign the message and authenticate your ownership

3. Copy the signed message and paste it in the respective field of the game UI

Level 4 will pose a series of challenges that can be solved by humans but are difficult for bots. With every successfully passed challenge it is thus a bit more certain that the respective address is controlled by a single human and not a bot.
For each challenge passed, players will gain ‘sybil points’. At the end of the game, each player needs enough Sybil points to pass. There is no way to tell in advance how many challenges you must complete or how many points are awarded per challenge. The challenges are not structured by difficulty or the amount of granted Sybil points.
Importantly, different challenges may grant different amounts of Sybil points. Players may decide to not participate in a given challenge, but should be wary of the fact that the safest way to passing Level 4 is to pass as many challenges as possible. To repeat: there is no need to pass every challenge.
Multiple other challenges will be launched over the next coming weeks. This will give players sufficient opportunity to participate and make trade-offs between gaining as many Sybil points as possible and their wish to not disclose certain information. So there is no need to pass every single challenge.
